So all I would need are adapters and RCA interconnects to power these speakers. No need for a fancy SET tubes or SS amp or even speaker cable in the chain. Thanks to my buddy Roy, I was able to borrow one of these adapters that allow for ICs and speaker cables and I've just placed an order with Dave at Zenwave for a custom RCA adapter so I could hook it up without speaker cable. I would like to note, for headphone use, any amp I've placed after the Chord DAVE veiled the sound in one way or another and the only time I've achieved full transparency was from the DAVE directly. The only exception was the Wells Audio Reference headphone amp ($15,000). If you know of an amp that could take direct-DAVE on, please let me know in the comments. That said, powering the Omega SUPER 3i monitors directly from the DAVE should also give me close to a transparent sound being only at the mercy of a single RCA interconnect. Since I have not gotten my adapter yet, I'll be using Roy's IC/Speaker cable adapter. So I gave Louis a call and, as anyone who has ever spoken to him will tell you, he's a very patient and passionate guy. He even put down his work to speak to me until I no longer had questions. It takes about 3 weeks from the time you order to receive your hand-made speakers. If you need to make some small tweaks here and there, he'd be happy to advise you on the best way to achieve the sound you're looking for. Having fun with this, I also drove them directly from the Chord Hugo and iFi Pro iCAN. You know have something special when you stop looking at gear and start looking for music. we all get lost sometimes.
