Goal: Find the best balanced XLR cables overall for stock and if I should just get the SC What makes you bob you head, say wow, laugh? stillpionts, lumin, SC, stock PC

  • AU24
  • sounds wider and more spacious than the JPS, more emotive
  • more expansive sound than the cardas but might not be as sharp
  • better bass heft than the cardas
  • better low-end resolution than cardas
  • fiedlity - the vocals are more intimate and sexy, something about the details and feel (1:25-1:50) bob your head
  • let it go - emotional, vocals are very natural
  • roses - sounds really good head bob all the way
  • JPS SC
  • Still sounds great. way better than the stock cable.
  • warmer than the au24
  • a bit more fuzzier around the edges of the vocals (let it go - james bay).
  • not as blackground like au24
  • doesn't sound as dynamic as the au24, not as emotional, a but more dull
  • soft and warm sound
  • Cardas
  • Much more clear than the JPS SC
  • sub-bass not as good as au24?
  • something is missing from the sound vs au24...dynamics? not that much of a head bobber, but i acknowledge it's not bad.
  • soundmaker - no sense of urgency
  • roses - very clear, very tight. mids are more forward than au24. au24 is more dynamic?
  • warmer than the au24 for sure. good slam.
  • sounds pretty good.
  • fidelity - vocals aren't as sexy as the au24. not as dyanmic? vocals aren't as refined as the au24.
  • it's definitely a warmer sound with a very slight tint of fuzz, tube sound. prefer au24. Still sounds good though.
  • layering is better on the au24.
  • not as much air around the vocals

stillpoints, stock HP cable, stock PC

  • AU24
  • Much more atmospheric but intro of black or white not on the far left, bigger sound.
  • the intro sounds a lot more natural than the cardas
  • someting about these cables just bring me in. I think it just has a bigger sound that's not only big but natural.
  • the low end guitar plucks are much tighter and more beautiful. I think this cable is better than the rest. no need to test.
  • cielito lindo - goosebumps...check. more detail and accurate tonality. sounds less digital and unaltered.

  • Doesn't sound as deep? doesn't draw me in.

stillpoints, msb, stock, shunyata JPS SC

  • detailed and warmer than the cardas
  • the vocals are smooth but isn't overly relaxed like the cardas
  • I think this is a better cable for the scientst song. it's more engaging, more dynamic.  more fun.
  • you could hear more of the pieces of the song.

Cardas

  • vs SC hp cable
  • Doesn't sound bad! the vocals are not as sweet, but not bad. Good dynamics.
  • Much leaner than the SC, some warmth for the guitars cannot be heard.
  • cielito lindo - not giving me the chills i'm used to getting. not engaging
  • black or white - the intro sounds kinda flat, no umph on the knock. the tape flipping didn't have the textures.
  • has a more relaxed presentation, vocals are smoother but not as well outlined, not bad actually - coldplay.
  • Almost too laid back, like smoking weed
  • very detailed, not as dynamic or weighty as the AU24.
  • Coldplay's voice is dreamy sounding...i don't know if that should be the case.
  • not as authoritaive as the AU24.
  • strumming of the guitar has less textures. I think that's it, less textures, more soft and relaxed and dreamy presentation.
  • you can't hear the pieces of the music as clearly as the AU24, everything is just mixed in a bowl of sweet and calm sound.
  • not as engaging or fun as the Au24.
  • not dynamic sounding enough for me. detailed but dull.

AU24 SE

  • The clarity, accuracy, and authority of this cable cannot be understated.
  • The other cables came off a little too soft, the echo isn't as natural sounding.
  • delininetation is superior to the others. you could hear more of chris martin's voice.
  • it's a much better cable. hands down.

So stock pc cable + SC conductor or shunyata with stock cable?

  • The Shunyata is amazing. All bass is tight and vocals are more natural.
  • black and white - the intro is more controlled with the drum beat, more to the left. wider.
  • more detail, more control
  • deeper more holographic soundstage. holographic improement deserve more points.
  • I could hear more textures
  • vocals are given that just right amount of warmness.
  • so cozy, so nice. less digital sound with this power cable.
  • better decay on sub-bass
  • really good slam, rhythm, timing. pretty happy with the performance of this.
  • It just sounds right. strong plucks (tempest especially), you could hear them in such a natural way, it's scary. i'm freakin' at the party man.
  • made me forget about objective listening and i started to just listen to full songs
  • afraid to try the SC HP cable as I'm pretty happy with this.
  • explosive bass, all songs sound way better
